College sweethearts, Arlett and Jeff wed in Albemarle, North Carolina at the beautiful Dennis Vineyards this August. Jeff proposed to Arlett on a vacation in Mexico last year the SAME WEEKEND that Tyler proposed to me in Virginia! How crazy is that? It was such a unique experience this past year planning my own wedding along side so many of my 2019 and 2020 brides!
Arlett and I had met previously as I did a session for her sister and her Quinceañera. When she first reached out to me about my portrait packages for Marissa’s session she ALSO asked about my Wedding Collections even though she wasn’t engaged yet. It’s like she just knew it was coming, and she was right! Us gals, we have a sixth sense for these things, am I right? Getting to work with this family over the past year and a half has been such a beautiful journey. This wedding was filled with so many emotions and yes, I did cry quite a few times throughout the day. Especially when Arlett made a speech at the reception about her mom and dad. And I got a little teary eyed watching Jeff while he anxiously awaited for Arlett before their First Look.

Finding Melissa as a photographer was such a blessing. One day I was lucky enough to come across her page on Instagram, and as soon as I saw it, I knew that if I ever got married I wanted her to be my photographer. Lucky me I got proposed to a few months after that, and of course I called her immediately. She did my engagement session and just recently my wedding in NC. I don’t have words to describe how amazing all of our photos turn out. Melissa is just so talented, and a true professional, and my hubby and I loved having her as our wedding photographer. Thank you so much for everything Melissa, I hope we can continue to work with you when our family starts growing.”
